What Is BMW Anti-Dazzle (Glare-Free High Beam)?

Anti-Dazzle, also known as Glare-Free High Beam, NGHB, VLD, is an advanced BMW headlight feature that allows drivers to use high beams continuously without blinding oncoming traffic or vehicles ahead.

Instead of switching the high beam on and off, BMW’s adaptive headlights intelligently shape and “cut out” parts of the light beam to avoid dazzling other drivers. The system constantly monitors the road and adjusts the light output in real time.

How Anti-Dazzle Works:

• A front-facing camera detects other road users.

• The headlights automatically create shaded zones around those vehicles.

• The remaining parts of the road stay brightly illuminated with high-beam intensity.

• Drivers benefit from maximum visibility while keeping traffic around them safe.

You must have Adaptive LED Lights or BMW Laser Lights installed to activate Anti-Dazzle / NGHB / VLD features.
